The Malvern Institute is very grateful for the continued support from our alumni!!!
The Malvern Institute Association is a group of former Malvern Institute patients who are still in recovery and who have a real interest in helping you stay clean and sober. The Alumni stresses the need for the AA/NA guidelines of attending 12 step meetings, getting a home group, and having a sponsor. The Alumni encourages socializing with others in recovery by sponsoring brunches, picnics, canoe trips, Holiday party and other activities. (See calendar of events) Becoming involved is a great way to meet other sober people and have a good time doing it. To Join print, fill out and mail in the application form.

Malvern Alumni Picnic
From Route 30 East:
Follow Business Route 30 into Downingtown. At the traffic
light for Route 322 West make a left hand turn. At the next light make a right
hand turn onto Pennsylvania Avenue. About a block down on your left will be the
park. A parking lot will be on you right hand side.
From Route 202 or Route 30 West:
Route 202 , north from West Chester to Route 100. Route
100 to Route 30 Bypass West. Exit at Business route 30, Downingtown exit. Turn
left at the end of the ramp onto business route 30 West. When you get to the
center of Downingtown (traffic light with two banks on the corner, Willow
financial and Downingtown national), you will make a right turn onto Wallace
avenue. You will go one block to a traffic light. Make the left hand turn onto
Pennsylvania Avenue. The park will be on your right and the parking area on the
left.
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
Get off at Exit 23 Downingtown Route 100. Once through the
tollbooth head to Route 100 South. At the second traffic light, make a right
hand turn onto Route 113 South. Follow Route 113 until it ends at Business 30
in Downingtown. Stay to the right hand lane and turn right going onto Route 30
West. When you get to the Center of Downingtown (traffic light with two banks
on the corner, Willow Financial and Downingtown National), you will make a right
turn onto Wallace Avenue. You will go one block to a traffic light. Make the
left hand turn onto Pennsylvania avenue. The park will be on your right and
parking area will be on your left.
