Peter joined the Malvern family in April of 2014 as the Chief of Psychiatry at our Willow Grove campus. He has been board certified in psychiatry since 2007 and is certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Peter, or Dr. Pete as we like to call him, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the College of William and Mary in 1995. He went on to earn his M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine in 2002. He graduated with honors in Behavioral Science and Psychiatry. Dr. Pete completed an internship in family practice at Chestnut Hill Hospital in 2003 and completed an adult psychiatry residency at Drexel University in 2006. While at Drexel, he served as Chief Resident and earned awards for Outstanding Performance in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Clinical Excellence. After completing his residency, Dr. Pete became the Medical Director of the General Adult Unit at Friends Hospital in Philadelphia.
